better for the water and soil too. the real problem though is rushing at any hot-pluggable answer. we need some — i was going to say we need an accounting method — but maybe what we need is like maybe a five-point schema for measuring regional inputs and outputs — like maybe “residential”, “industrial”, and “transport” for emissions and “natural” and “artificial” for sinks — then set up a world map with pentagonal overlays for each country or area — keep people from grasping at straws, even in absence of a global bureau of organic affairs.
