And you thought you had it bad!

In February, a judge in New Zealand made a young girl a ward of court so she could change her name from Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii.

I rarely experience regrets. But this is one time I mourn for the lost opportunity, yes, I really do.
If I had just one wish, I’d wish I could back in time and change all my kids’ names to Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii. To help them keep a sense of individuality, I’d have modified it to Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii #1, Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii #2, etc. etc. And under no circumstance would I have ever, ever, used anything other than the full, glorious name.
Alack! It’s too late now. But in my despair, I take courage from the fortitude of the family in New Zealand.
